This simple cinnamon milk tea is easy, quick to make and bursts with sweet cinnamon and vanilla flavors. Perfect comforting drink to enjoy on a chilly day! Vegan and dairy-free.
2cinnamon sticksor about ½-1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
2bagsblack teacaffeinated or not
1cupoat milkor your favorite plant-based milk
1-3tspmaple syrupother sweeteners work too
1tspvanilla extract
Instructions
Add the water and cinnamon sticks (or ground cinnamon) to a small saucepan, cover and bring to a boil. Turn the heat down and let the sticks simmer for about one minute. Then, turn off the heat and add the bags of black tea. Let them steep for 5-7 minutes, then remove the bags.
Add the milk, maple syrup and vanilla to the saucepan and turn the heat back on (just to warm the milk). Once steamy hot, remove from the heat, adjust sweetness and serve. Enjoy!
