This easy creamy lavender milk tea is deliciously floral and its calming effect makes it a perfect warm drink to enjoy before bedtime. You can also easily customize this recipe to make a earl grey lavender milk tea, an iced version or froth your milk for a latte drink.
1tbsploose lavender tea buds or flowersculinary grade
½cuphot water
1cupvegan milk
maple syrup or other sweetenerto taste
Instructions
Steep the lavender buds in the hot water for about 5 minutes.
While the tea steeps, warm the milk in a small sauce pan until just about to boil (watch carefully so it does not overflow!). Then, strain the lavender (use a colander or a tea infuser basket) and pour the warm milk over the strained tea in a mug.
Add the sweetener to taste, stir and enjoy!

Notes
If you want to make a lavender tea latte instead, then you can froth the warm milk before pouring over the tea.
If you want to add caffeine to your tea, then steep one pouch of black tea along with the lavender leaf.
Transform your drink into an iced milk tea: fill a glass with iced cubes and add the steeped tea and cold milk. Add sweetener and stir. Add crushed blueberries if desired.
